Now Accepting Board of Variance Applications
Great news! Applications for the Board of Variance are now being accepted until April 3rd, 2023. This is a great opportunity to get involved in your community and make a positive impact.
A local government that has adopted a zoning bylaw must, by bylaw, establish a board of variance to consider requests from property owners to vary Zoning Bylaw requirements where compliance with the bylaw would create undue hardship.
The Board of Variance is an independent body made up of residents that can grant relief from zoning bylaws in certain circumstances. The Board of Variance is made up of three members who are appointed by the local government.
Residents may pick up an application at the District of Mackenzie Office during normal office hours or on the District of Mackenzie webpage.
You may submit applications online by email to ac.eiznekcamfotcirtsid@ofni or in person at the District of Mackenzie Office at 1 Mackenzie Blvd during normal business hours.
For questions or more information, please contact the Land and Environmental Coordinator at 250-997-3221 or by email ac.eiznekcamfotcirtsid@ofni.
