Wildfire Fuel Treatment Update – Week of Feb 3rd
The District of Mackenzie is conducting fuel reduction operations in areas near the community to better protect Mackenzie and its infrastructure in the event of a forest fire. Fuel treatment works are on hold in the John Dahl/Little Mac unit this week. Manual crews have completed phase one in the area. The area remains an active work site. Please watch...

Mark the calendar! Recreation Services will be hosting a Family Day Event at Little Mac on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 12 - 4 pm. This FREE event will include a bonfire, cookies and cocoa, snow games, snow painting, skiing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. See you there.

Beware of Icy Conditions
The recent heavy snowfall and warming temperatures mixed with rain have made the roads, sidewalks and parking lots extremely treacherous. Public Works crews are working on trying to manage the extremely icy conditions and will continue to have equipment out into the evening. The District is recommending that pedestrians avoid sidewalks unless your shoes are equipped with cleats or spikes...

Business and Dog Licenses expire on December 31 each year and are up for renewal for 2020. Renewal notices have been mailed to businesses and dog owners.
