We Won!

The District of Mackenzie received a Community Leadership Award from the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) in the Environmental Sustainability category in recognition of our 2018 Community Wildfire Protection Plan.

The updated plan outlines 37 recommended wildfire mitigation activities to reduce the community's wildfire risk. The municipality has partnered with McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest to implement the plan. More information regarding the award and plan can be found here.
