To Gantahaz Residents:

On Thursday May 14th, 2026 Canadian Western Mechanical will be on site to work on the Water Treatment Plant.

The work will start at 9:30 am on May 14th, 2026

The scope of work includes installation of new plungers into the filters, reprogramming of filter valves and running them through a couple of backwashes before putting them back online.

This will be done one at a time and has to be done four times.  The contractor has advised that this work will have not an impact the flow of water to the reservoir, nor will it have an impact on the flow of water to residents.

As residents are aware the District flushed fire Hydrants in Gantahaz on May 6th and 7th, 2026.

We will also be flushing the hydrants when the above work is completed.  This flushing will take place next week on May 20th and 21st, 2026.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter and we hope this work fixes some of the issues we are currently experiencing.

Thankyou,

Joe Murray

Director of Public Works.
