June is Pride Month

The District of Mackenzie recognizes June as Pride Month. A time to acknowledge the diversity of people who live and work in our community. Pride Month has its origins in the advancement of human rights and efforts to ensure all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

In Mackenzie, community is built through everyday interactions - by treating one another with consideration and maintaining a respectful environment where people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives live and work together.

The Pride flag will be raised at the Municipal Office today, at 11:00 a.m.
