Mayor and Council attends NCLGA

This week Councillors McMeeken, Brumovsky, Wright, Tapper and Mayor Atkinson attended the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) Annual General Meeting and Convention in Prince George.

The NCLGA is comprised of elected officials in North Central British Columbia and they work to connect communities, identify common challenges, and facilitate positive change in the region. The annual convention brings together community leaders to discuss and advocate for shared priorities to provincial and federal decision-making tables, as well as share ideas and celebrate regional successes.

The District submitted and co-sponsored several resolutions that will be voted on by the NCLGA membership for further advocacy.
