Highway 39 – Surface Works

higway 39

May 22 - June 12

Residents are advised of upcoming road maintenance work on Highway 39 and the Gantahaz subdivision between 22 May and 12 June.

Spray Patching – Highway 39

Starting 22 May, the spray patch truck will be working between Columbia Drive and McIntyre Drive to repair potholes, depressions and cracks. This work is expected to continue for several days.
Once completed, the spray patch truck will move to the Mackenzie 4‑lane, addressing similar roadway deficiencies.
Please note that loose gravel will remain on the road surface following spray patching. This is normal and allows time for the oil to set and the aggregate to properly compact.

Sweeping and Cleanup

The cleanup crew and pickup sweeper will begin working north next week. Once work reaches the Mackenzie area, crews will complete cleanup of any remaining loose gravel associated with these repairs.

Gantahaz – Mill and Fill Work

A subcontractor will be performing pavement mill and fill work on three identified sections of the Gantahaz subdivision in preparation for future resurfacing. Sweeping will take place before and after this work along the entire route.

What Residents Can Expect

  • Short-term traffic impacts
  • Loose gravel following spray patching
  • Sweeping and cleanup handled as part of the project
We appreciate your patience while this important maintenance work is completed.
