Each year, the District develops an annual budget that outlines how tax dollars are invested in the community.
The District is looking at a minimum tax revenue loss of $459,000 due to an application of a closure allowance from a Class 4 (Major Industry) property owner. This revenue loss will greatly impact the upcoming budget, so Mayor and Council are inviting residents to be involved in the preliminary budget consultation prior to entering into budget discussions.
How can you participate?
Anyone who would like to bring forward comments, concepts or ideas related to the 2025 budget will have the opportunity to be heard through the following ways:
Attend Open House
- When: Thursday November 7, 2024
- Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm
- Short presentation at 5:45pm
- Where: Mackenzie Recreation Centre, 400 Skeena Drive
In-Person: To participate in person you must attend the Special Meeting on:
- When: Tuesday November 12, 2024 at 6:45pm
- Where: Council Chambers 1 Mackenzie Boulevard, Mackenzie BC V0J 2C0
