This week's tip:
Accessibility Helps More People Than You Think
When many people think about accessibility, they picture a feature design for one specific group, such as a wheelchair ramp. But accessibility is really about removing barriers so people can participate fully in every day life.
A ramp is a great example. It helps someone using a wheelchair, but it can also help:
- A parent pushing a stroller
- A student recovering from an injury
- A staff member moving supplies
- A grandparent attending a school event
- Anyone carrying heavy or bulk items
The same idea applies to many accessibility improvements. They may be designed to address a specific barrier, but they often make a space easier to use for everyone.
