Water Main Repair Update September 4, 2025

Dear Mackenzie Residents,

Unfortunately, your water services will continue to be disrupted until further notice. We are hoping to have it back on by end of day tomorrow, September 5, 2025 and will let residents know otherwise.

Our crews continue to work hard to get the job completed, but they have encountered a few issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding in dealing with this issue.

Non-Potable Water Available

The District of Mackenzie does apologize for this delay and will be proving non-potable water if needed. Non-potable water can be used for flushing toilets but cannot be used for human consumption.

To get non-potable water delivered to your home, please call Public Works at 250-997-3221. We ask that you have containers ready to fill.

Cooling Centre

There is a cooling center open at the Mackenzie Recreation Centre from 6:00am to 9:00pm daily this week. They are providing free refreshments and snacks.

The Mackenzie Recreation Centre will also offer free use of their showers if needed. This is for residents experiencing the water outage and you will have to provide your street address and identification. Please remember that swimsuits must be worn in the facility's showers.
