Rockin’ the Ridgeline Photo Contest – Get Ready to Capture the Vibe!

Rockin’ the Ridgeline starts this Friday, and we want your photos to help tell the story of this incredible event! Whether you're capturing the adrenaline of the trails, the energy of the music, or the joy of community, your perspective matters.

The District of Mackenzie is excited to launch the Rockin’ the Ridgeline Photo Contest. Submit your best shots from this year’s event for a chance to be featured in upcoming promotions that showcase the spirit of Mackenzie.

Photo Contest Details:

  • Photographers retain full rights to their images.
  • By submitting, you agree to let the District of Mackenzie use your photos for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • If anyone is clearly recognizable in your photo, a simple model release will need to be signed.

Weekend Schedule

The Warm-Up
FRIDAY, JULY 25:
- 7:00pm: Rowan Siebert
- 8:00pm: Carroll Ford
All day: Popup art gallery through the Community Bike Park Trails, the Azan Accessible Trail and then at the parking lots on Morfee Mountain. There will also be a Two Rivers Exhibit at the Mackenzie Community Arts Centre

The Main Event
Saturday Morning to Afternoon | 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Meet MORATA at the base of Morfee Mountain! Free shuttles for bikers and hikers up to the trailhead run hourly (seats for 25, racks for 20 bikes). Ride the Morfee Mountain Ridgeline, hike the Azan Tunneh Trails, and take in stunning artwork hidden throughout the forest.

ALL DAY SATURDAY
Wander through our Popup Art Gallery:
— Along the Community Bike Park trails
— On the Azan Accessible Trail
— And up on Morfee Mountain at the shuttle base & summit
Plus, don’t miss the Two Rivers Exhibit at the MCAC downtown!

Evening Entertainment Lineup:
4:30 PM – Kids crafts & food vendors open
- 4:45 PM – Grace Hoksbergen
- 5:35 PM – Susie Ruth
- 6:00 PM – Beer gardens open
- 6:45 PM – Runner
- 8:00 PM – Cooper Tropeau & the Broken Bones
- 10:00 PM – Dance under the stars with our closing DJ set

AFTER PARTY
SUNDAY, JULY 27: Sunday morning make sure you take in all the art on the trails and then head over to Mackenzie Community Arts Centre (9 Laurier Dr) for live music.
