New Garbage Truck and Bins

Our new garbage truck and garbage bins have arrived at the Public Works department. The new garbage truck is currently being fitted with the necessary equipment for operation.

The new garbage bins will be distributed in late April. Locations that saw high bear activity in 2023 will be first to receive new bins. These bins have 13-gauge thick metal walls and a 16-gauge thick reinforced metal lid. The new garbage bins also have the following features:

• 3/4" diameter Drain Plugs for draining liquids
• Reinforced corner design with integral bumper
• V-bends in floors and walls for extra reinforcement
• Metal bear resistant lids
• Metal side doors
