Call for Applications: McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest Board of Directors

The District of Mackenzie is inviting applications from community members interested in serving on the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forests (MLMCF) Board of Directors. Two (2) positions are available for appointment in June 2026.

The MLMCF Board provides oversight for the sustainable management of the community forest and supports local economic development and responsible forest stewardship.

Application Period

  • Opens: March 30, 2026
  • Closes: April 27, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Applications may be submitted online or by hard copy. Paper applications require a signature; online applications include a declaration checkbox.

Who Should Apply

Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have experience or knowledge in areas such as:
  • Business or commercial enterprise management
  • Forestry or forest products operations
  • Law, accounting, or financial services
  • Community leadership within the District of Mackenzie
  • Forestry‑related environmental or ecological issues
  • Community forest operations or management
  • Resident of McLeod Lake or Mackenzie an asset.
Current Board members whose terms are expiring are welcome to reapply.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by Corporate Services and forwarded to the MLMCF Board for evaluation and recommendation. Final appointments will be made by Council.
