Attention Residents:

The District of Mackenzie Public Works department would like to advise the residents of Mackenzie to be cautious when driving and walking on roads and walkways covered with rain. This can cause extremely slippery conditions due to ice underneath the water which sometimes cannot be seen. There may be areas of flooding due to the rain/snow mix today and catch basins being covered with ice and snow will not allow the water to drain properly. The Public Works Water & Sewer department is monitoring this closely. If you see any flooding please report it to the Public Works department at 997-3761.
