Garbage Pick-Up Schedule Changes

Job Action at Mackenzie Landfill and Transfer Station

CUPE 1699, the union representing employees at the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG), is currently engaging in job action. This has resulted in changes to the hours of operation of the Mackenzie Select Waste Landfill and Regional Transfer Station. Unless otherwise advised by the RDFFG, the local landfill and transfer station will only be open the following days and times:

• Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 9 am to 5pm

Changes to District of Mackenzie Garbage Pick-Up Schedule

As a result of the changes in hours, effective immediately, the following changes have been made to the District’s residential and commercial garbage pick-up schedule:

• Monday commercial garbage bin pickup will now be Tuesday.
• Tuesday residential pick up will remain the same.
• Wednesday residential pick up will now be on Thursday.
• Thursday commercial pick up will remain the same.

Please have your bin at the curbside by 8am for pick up on these days. This schedule will remain in effect until further notice.
