Important Notice Regarding Garbage Collection Practices

Dear Residents,

We are asking for your immediate attention and cooperation regarding what is being placed in our residential and commercial garbage trucks.

Recently, we have found concrete, metal, and other incompatible materials in loads collected by our garbage trucks. These materials are not suitable for regular garbage pick-up an have caused serious damage to our equipment.

As a result, our residential garbage truck is no longer usable and needs significant repairs. This has created a great service challenge, and we are now required to manually load garbage, which is much slower, more difficult for staff, and may lead to collection delays.

To help prevent damage and disruption, please ensure that only acceptable household and commercial garbage is placed out for collection. Heavy construction materials, scrap metal, concrete, and other unsuitable items must be taken to the appropriate disposal or recycling facility.

Protecting our staff, and equipment is essential to maintaining reliable and affordable garbage collection service for the community. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us avoid further damage, reduce delays, and keep collection services running safely, and efficiently.

Thankyou,
