FireSmart Burning Public Notice
The District of Mackenzie, in conjunction with BC Wildfire Service, will be burning debris piles from the FireSmart Treatment Project behind the Valleyview Apartments, starting as early as Monday, September 28, 2026. Burning will last up to 2 weeks, provided conditions are appropriate. During this time, residents may notice visible smoke from the area.
