Emergency Preparedness Presentation

Emergencies can affect part or all of a community. They can happen anytime and anywhere. The Mackenzie Fire Department, with strong support from the Mackenzie Community Services and our community emergency services, are committed to helping residents in our area know the potential risks and how they can be prepared for and informed during an emergency. On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, there will be a presentation on Mackenzie Evacuation Orders, at the Mackenzie Recreation Centre. Topics covered will include, preparing for an evacuation order, emergency go-bags, where to seek information in a time of emergency and considerations for Mackenzie's most vulnerable residents.  The first 50 attendees will receive stocked grab and go bags pre-filled with some essential materials. Coffee and snacks will be provided

Though we have no current evacuation orders in our community, there's no time like the present to get prepared. Do you have your 72 hour emergency kit ready?
