Day of Mourning – April 28, 2026

Every year on April 28, we come together to observe the Day of Mourning. A time to pause, reflect, and remember the workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill as a result of their work. This ceremony is an important opportunity to honour their memory and to renew our shared commitment to safer, healthier workplaces for everyone.

This Tuesday, April 28, the ceremony will begin at 10:45 am with welcoming remarks, followed by a moment of silence at 11:00 am. Speeches and the laying of flowers at the Memorial Rock will follow, with refreshments afterwards. All are welcome to attend in person or join us online.
