Community Forests Expanding in McLeod lake/Mackenzie and North Island
The Province of British Columbia has announced the expansion of the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest, adding nearly 10,400 hectares and increasing the annual fibre allocation by 20,000 cubic metres. The expansion will support local jobs, strengthen wildfire resilience, enhance community-led forest stewardship, and help ensure a sustainable fibre supply for Mackenzie and McLeod Lake.
