The District of Mackenzie is currently accepting applications for qualified Part-time Activity Leaders to join our team. Recreation Activity Leaders are responsible for operating the climbing wall, ski hill and skating programs. The Recreation Activity Leaders work under the direction of the Facility and Evens Coordinator to deliver programs, activities and events. This position requires technical and safety skills in one or more of the following sports; skating, skiing, snowboarding and climbing.

 

 

Located in the scenic Northern Rocky Mountains Trench 185 km north of Prince George, Mackenzie offers superb four season outdoor recreation opportunities and an exceptional quality of life.  Housing costs are among the most affordable in the province.  Residents are involved in community life with numerous service organizations, community clubs and groups catering to a variety of interest. The local Recreation Centre with arena, swimming pool, fitness centre, community hall and library is viewed as the hub of the community. Successful candidates must have Grade 12 or equivalent, be 19 years of age or older, hold a current Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR Level C, valid BC class 5 license, demonstrated physical fitness and must pass a criminal record check (vulnerable sector).

 

 

This is a unionized position within the CUPE 3706 Bargaining Unit, offering an hourly wage of $27.64.
