Located in the scenic Northern Rocky Mountain Trench 185 km north of Prince George, Mackenzie offers superb four-season outdoor recreation opportunities and an exceptional quality of life. Housing costs are among the most affordable in the province. Local recreation amenities include an arena, swimming pool, fitness center, ski hill and large multi-use trail network.

The District of Mackenzie is currently accepting applications for two (2) qualified Part-time Lifeguards to join our
aquatics team.
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of customers of the swimming pool and encouraging
enjoyment of aquatic recreation activities. Key areas include safety supervision of pool users, providing good
customer service and providing appropriate emergency response in the pool area.
Successful candidates must hold a current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) (Pool Option) certificate, have
Standard First Aid/CPR-C-AED. Must be 16 years of age or older and must have a clean criminal record.
The successful candidate must be able to interact with the public in a professional, tactful and positive manner.
These positions will appeal to individuals who are available to work evenings and weekends.
This is a unionized position within the CUPE 3706 Bargaining Unit, offering an hourly wage of $25.20.
