Wildlife encounters are a part of life in Mackenzie, but not every wildlife concern is a Conservation Officer matter. In many cases, wildlife is being attracted to properties by unsecured garbage, fallen fruit, or other attractants.
To help residents know who to call, our Bylaw Enforcement Department has created a quick reference guide outlining the appropriate contact for different wildlife situations. If a property is attracting wildlife, please contact Bylaw Enforcement so concerns can be addressed before they become larger public safety issues.
By reporting attractants and wildlife concerns promptly, residents can play an important role in protecting our community and local wildlife.
