Bus Stop Safety Reminder from Mackenzie RCMP

The Mackenzie RCMP would like to remind drivers of their responsibility to stop when approaching  a school bus displaying flashing red lights from the front or the rear, no matter what lane you are in. Drivers are also advised that they must not start moving again until the bus driver signals it is safe by turning off the lights and pulling in the stop sign.  The fine for Fail to Stop for School Bus is $368 under Section 149 of the Motor Vehicle Act of British Columbia.
