Garbage Pick-Up Schedule Changes Update

November 5, 2025 UPDATE

At this time, the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) and CUPE 1699, the union representing employees at the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, have not reached an agreement. Until an agreement has been made, the temporary changes to commercial and residential garbage pick-up will remain in place.

Changes to District of Mackenzie Garbage Pick-Up Schedule

As a result of the changes in hours, effective immediately, the following changes have been made to the District’s residential and commercial garbage pick-up schedule:

• Monday commercial garbage bin pickup will now be Tuesday.
• Tuesday residential pick up will remain the same.
• Wednesday residential pick up will now be on Thursday.
• Thursday commercial pick up will remain the same.

Please have your bin at the curbside by 8am for pick up on these days. This schedule will remain in effect until further notice.
