RCMP Update – Suspect in Custody for Gun Shots Near Mackenzie Golf and Country Club

Mackenzie RCMP received several reports of gun shots near the golf course around noon on July 15th.

North District Emergency Response Team, police dog services and the helicopter were reactivated. At approximately 7pm police took a person into custody.

This person is not related to the Mackenzie missing person. The suspect arrested today is cooperative with police, will be released on a court date in a few months and does not pose a risk to the public. Mackenzie RCMP request people continue calling with leads on the missing person Colin Taylor.
