As a result of the recent RCMP incident involving the search for a Mackenzie Resident the District of Mackenzie is temporarily closing access to the public to some trails and amenities in Mackenzie as well as the Morfee Lake Road. Until further notice the East portion of the Mackenzie Trail system that includes the Azan Trail, a portion of the John Dahl Regional Park Trail, the trail to Lost Lake and the Morfee Lakeshore trail are closed. Please obey the posted signage in these areas. Further closures include 1st and 2nd Beaches as well as the Municipal Morfee Lake Campground. This information will be updated as soon as further information is available.
