Watering Restrictions in Effect

The District of Mackenzie reminds residents and property owners that seasonal water restrictions are in effect under Water Rates and Regulations Bylaw No. 1472, 2022.

These measures support responsible water use during peak demand months and help ensure a reliable water supply for the community.

Water Restriction Period
May 15 to September 1 (annually)

Sprinkling Restrictions

• No lawn sprinkling is permitted between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm daily.
• Even-numbered civic addresses may sprinkle on even-numbered calendar days only.
• Odd-numbered civic addresses may sprinkle on odd-numbered calendar days only.
• These restrictions apply to all residential and non-residential properties within the District of Mackenzie.

Penalties

• Failure to comply with the water restrictions may result in the following fines:
• $50.00 for a first offence
• $100.00 for a second offence
• Subsequent offences may result in additional penalties as outlined in Water Rates and Regulations Bylaw No. 1472, 2022.
