2026 Home Owner Grant

Eligible B.C. homeowners can apply for the 2026 Home Owner Grant now:

• Apply 24/7 online: www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant
• Apply with an agent: Toll-free at 1 888 355-2700, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
• Apply 24/7 using a *voice recognition application:  Toll-free at 1 888 355-2700
• You will need your Social Insurance Number and tax notice

Home Owner Grants must be claimed before July 2, 2026.  If you are eligible, claim the Home Owner Grant and then pay the reduced amount as indicated on your property tax notice. The Home Owner Grant must be claimed even if you are paying the balance of your taxes at a later date or with your mortgage.  If you require assistance, please visit the local Service BC office.
