Property Taxes
Sharing the load
Annual property taxes are the District’s main source of revenue and are critical to providing valuable programs and services to residents in the community. Property tax bills will be mailed out at the end of May and due on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. The collection of property taxes also includes revenues that the City collects on behalf of other agencies. For example, a portion of property tax collections are distributed to the Province for School Tax, Police Tax, BC Assessment, the Municipal Finance Authority, and the Regional District of Fraser Fort George, and Regional Hospital.
Property Tax Due Dates
Property tax notices will be mailed to property owners at the end of May. Property tax due date is Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Note: New property owners or property owners who have not received a property tax notice will need to contact the District office to receive a copy.
If there are any changes to your mailing address or you are a new property owner, please contact the District Office to make sure that your mailing address is updated.
Non-receipt of a property tax notice is not a valid reason for failing to pay taxes by the due date.
